General Description
Prostate problems usually begin to appear in men when they reach late thirties. Today, any man regardless of age can have prostate problems. It is no longer an old man's sickness. Prostate diseases can be divided into three categories; prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer can cause death. However, some men seem to outlive the disease and some who have it die from other causes. One surprising fact is that you may not even know that you have a prostate cancer. The symptoms are almost absent in the early phase of the cancer. Without any pain or symptoms, you may not realize that you have prostate cancer. For prevention, doctors recommend men in their forties to attend prostate tests.
Nearly all the signs of prostate cancer are similar to BPH which include frequent, nighttime, hesitant, and periodic excretion of urine. These symptoms cannot validate that you have a prostate cancer. The cancer usually starts in the prostatic gland. However, once it spread beyond the prostate, it will destroy other cells in your body.
