Jianshui City

Jianshui City was an earthen city at the very beginning built in Nanzhao Period (a local regime in ancient China) , and then was expanded to a brick one in 1387, the 20th year of Hongwu Period in the Ming Dynasty. The city enjoys a long history and splendid culture, and in and out of the city there remain a large number of architectures embodying profound cultural connotations, including 50 sites of antique temples, nunneries, towers, platforms and pavilions.
