Dehong Prefecture

Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture lies at the frontier of west Yunnan Province and is the largest prefecture that develops most rapidly in foreign border trade in southwestern China. Dehong is the transliteration of the language of the Dais, with "De" standing for "lower" and "Hong Nujiang River", so the combination of the two words means “the lower reaches of the Nujiang River". Dehong Prefecture owns a bewitching tropical landscape, beautiful scenery and numerous fragrant flowers. People of the two countries at the borderland go along with each other like neighbors and share a well in common, which is a special scene of " Two Countries in One Village".
