Diqing

Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture lies at the northwestern part of Yunnan Province and the southern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and its name “Diqing” means “a propitious and lucky place" in Tibetan. In the area of an earthly fairyland, the snow-mountains appear majestic and queer, the rivers meander through, the grassland expands widely, the forests flourish like ocean, and the fauna and flora are affluent in species.
