Xishuangbanna

The Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is located at the eastern end of Yunnan Province, and spans across the Lantsang River. "Xishuangbanna" in the language of the Dais is pronounced as "meng ba la naxi" which means "an ideal and marvelous land of happiness". It is greatly rich in natural resources including 5, 000-odd species of tropical plants and hundreds of species of rare animals, hence its reputations  "Kingdom of Plants and Animals".
