East Ridge,Guilin China 
East Ridge is located on the east bank of the Lijiang River, facing Yangshuo Town across the river. Range upon range of mountains there present a spectacular view when the sky glows red at sunrise.
How to get there
East Ridge is photographed from the top of Green Lotus Peak, which is within walking distance to Yangshuo Town.
Photography Tips
The top of Green Lotus Peak is the best position to shoot East Ridge at sunrise. When the sky clears up after a rain, a climb to the top is often rewarded with unexpected shots. Green Lotus Peak is not an easy climb though, particularly after rain. Special precaution is advised.
If you need a porter or guide, contact Lao Liu on 13507839184 or Lao Lian on 0773-8862131. They can serve as guides or help get a porter for you. The charge would be 20 yuan per trip. It is a common practice to treat your porter to breakfast after getting down the hill, just to show your appreciation. A bowl of rice noodles would be enough.
Word of Warning
As you need to reach the hilltop before daybreak, safety is a priority. Wear a good pair of shoes for the climb. Use a torch to light the way and take enough food and drinking water.
