Gaotian is located in Moon Hill Scenic Area, Gaotian Township, Yangshuo County. The rivers of Jinbao and Yulong converge here to become the Tianjia River, a tributary of the Lijiang River. Gaotian offers an extraordinary rural landscape of mountains, rivers and farmland.

How to get there
Take a Gaotian-bound or Lipu-bound bus at Yangshuo Bus Station and get off at Gongnong Bridge, approximately 8 km from the county town. Other transport options include three-wheel taxi, bicycle and car. You may also like to stay in the nearby Ancient Banyan Village Hotel for the night so that you can have an early start in the morning to shoot from the bridge.

Photography Tips
There are a number of ways to photograph the Gaotian scenery. Position your camera on the bridge toward the east to capture sunrise, rosy dawn or frontlit white clouds in blue sky. This is a place favoured by every photographer and photography enthusiast.
