Langshi Village or Wave Rock Village is so named because a stretch of the Lijiang River in front of the village is interrupted by various rocks that emerge from the water and resemble rolling waves. At Langshi the Lijiang River narrows and winds its way through Spectacular Mountain peaks. This is a famous scenic spot on the liijiang River and a paradise for both professional and amateur photographers.
How to get there
The riverside spot is not accessible by car. Take a ride to Yangdi and then hirea boat to ferry you across the river (about 20 minutes). You can also take a boat from Xingping.
Photography Tips
There are passenger boats of various sizes at Yangdi Wharf. The average cost is 60 yuan and is negotiable. Tell the boatman that you are a photographer, and you will be taken right to the best shooting spot.
