Shi Wai Tao Yuan, or Land of Peach Blossoms, is located by the Guilin-Yangshuo road, 16 km to Yangshuo Town. This is a place of peace and quiet, with a pleasant sight of peach tree-lined riverbank, paddy fields and hidden cottages. It fits the landscape in the utopia retreat described in A Tale of the Peach Blossom Spring by Tao Yuanming, a famous writer in the Jin Dynasty. The park offers tourists both natural scenery and a taste of cultural traditions. Shi Wai Tao Yuan is rated national AAAA tourist attraction, a scenic spot favored by photographers.

How to get there
Forty-four km from Guilin and 16 km from Yangshuo, Shi Wai Tao Yuan is conveniently located. Take a bus from either Guilin or Yangshuo and get off at the park. If driving, park your car at the parking lot there. Entrance fee: 40 yuan.

Photography Tips
You may shoot from the main building in the park. Take either front lighting or double-exposure sunset shots. Or you may choose to shoot elsewhere in the park, looking for both natural and cultural subjects.
