Shutong Hill is located on the east bank of the Lijiang River in Yangshuo, downstream from Yangshuo Bridge. Standing by the river, Shutong Hill takes the shape of a young man in loose robe and big sleeves. Shutong Hill and its picturesque surroundings fascinate many photographers and tourists.

How to get there
Located in the southeast of Yangshuo, Shutong Hill can be reached by bike (daily rental: 5-10 yuan). Cross Yangshuo Bridge and take the right turnoff after about 300 metres. Continue straight on the gravel road to the Lijiang riverside. Follow the river for several hundred metres and you are at the shooting spot. Watch out for traffic as the rural road is rather narrow.

Photography Tips
It is preferred to shoot in late autumn with backlit red leaves as foreground.
